True Confessions Tuesdays

An old coworker of mine use to come in to the office, exclaim "True Confessions!" and launch into a crazy story.

I thought I would start doing "True Confessions Tuesdays"... just for fun :). I hope someday Lily reads these posts and learns something new and silly about me.

So here it is, my first True Confession: I didn't date until college.

To be fair, basically no one dated in my high school. It wasn't just me I swear! I went to a school that was grades 6th-12th and my graduating class was only 42 people. Needless to say we had all known each other since we were 12 and felt more like siblings than anything else.

It is funny, since no one else was really dating (with a few exceptions), I didn't even feel like I was missing out on anything. I had crushes, I went to dances, I had lots of friends that were guys, but that was it. Maybe I missed out, maybe not, but I don't regret anything because I like who I am today. I have only had two real relationships in my life, one is now my husband and the other is a great friend to this day. I don't think a lot of people can say that.

Plus I had less distractions in high school, so I am like SUPER smart. ;)

So there you have it, my first true confession. I hope I get to read yours as well!

She gets scared when large crowds all react at the same time. Sporting events are not her favorite at the moment.

{I know I might be in the minority here, but over 80 degrees in Seattle with no air conditioning leads to hot houses where babies do not want to sleep...which leads to grumpy mamas. I'm a true northwesterner, give me some nice 68-74 degrees please!

Sometimes

There are times when you blissfully sleep for 9 hours straight and wake up to the happy sounds of your well rested toddler cheerfully playing in her crib.

And then there are times when you go to calm a crying teething baby in the middle of the night. As your rock and sing to her she closes her eyes and starts to sing along. When you kiss her forehead and tell her "time to sleep baby" she smiles at you and sticks her finger in your nose.

Last night was one of those times.
